How Heartlink keeps you safe

Safety on a dating app isn't a page in the menu. It's a set of boring mechanisms that work whether or not anyone reads about them. Here are ours.
Every photo is checked before anyone sees it
Uploaded photos go through automatic checks before they appear anywhere. A photo that was removed by a moderator can't come back — not even re-saved, cropped or re-compressed, because we compare what the picture looks like, not what the file contains.
Verification means someone actually looked
The checkmark isn't automatic. We ask for a selfie in a pose we choose at that moment, and a person compares it with the profile photos. The selfie is deleted right after the decision — including when the answer is no.
Reports go to people, not to a queue that nobody reads
Every report lands in a moderator queue sorted by how serious it is, with the reported message or photo right there. Decisions are recorded: who decided what, when, and what the account looked like before.
Calls never pass through our servers
Audio and video go directly between the two browsers. We see that a call happened and how long it lasted. We don't see or hear what was said, and we can't record it — not as a promise, but as a consequence of how it's built.
You can take your data and leave
Download everything we hold about you as an archive: profile, photos, conversations, coin history. Delete your account and it disappears for good after thirty days — with those thirty days there so a decision made in a bad moment can be undone.
